Apocalypse How?
John from The Jesus Geek sent an audio comment to BtB that bounces off a passing comment Ray and Steve made in the last episode. Part 1 of his comment asks where they stand on their view of the end times.
While both Ray and Steve agree with John that this issue should not be as divisive and “hot” as it often ends up being, they put their necks out there anyway and share where they are on this topic. For both Ray and Steve, change has been dramatic in their views of this over time.
Join BtB next week for the second half of John’s audio comment.
Enjoy!

Not sure if you guys offended everyone, or everyone has come to the conclusion of “yup this says it all, I’ll shut up now”. But this was amazing. I’m on my third time through it. I too was schooled in the pre-trib, resurrection thinking. But right after leaving the sunday morning club, I read some articles to the contrary of that camp. I thought they were nuts. Until (like you said) I studied it. On my own!! The more I looked FOR it the less I found supporting it! I have kept those findings to myself (for about 2 years now) thinking there was something wrong with me. But hearing you guys talk about the same thing I found is HUGE for me. Thanks guys.
Pharesectomy still ongoing! 4 years and counting.

Just listened to this episode. Good stuff. I, too, was brought up on “Left Behind” theology. A few years ago I started having some preterist thoughts on my own (like seeing the similarities between the prophesies and first century history). Then a while ago I realised that I wasn’t alone in having those thoughts, and that there is something called Preterism. At the moment I’m really enjoying the book “The Parousia” by J. Stuart Russell. It’s amazing to me how easily it’s all falling into place…but not without me having to go through a massive paradigm shift…
