Jesus, Osama bin Laden, and Enemy Love, Part 2
In this conclusion of the discussion started last time in Part 1, Ray and Steve continue discussion the ramifications of the teachings of Jesus on our view of violence, national or otherwise. As part of the discussion, Ray and Steve discuss some examples of where non-violence actually won out over violence. Do we dare to show love and kindness toward those who would seek to kill us?

Great Part 2!
I liked the examples of people who chose the way of love and overcame evil.
Also, how similar are the hypothetical senario questions to the trick questions that the pharasies and sadducees used to trap Jesus with!?!? There always was a third way for him, being led by the Spirit.
But the best part of the podcast for me would have to be the realisation that justice is not eye for an eye, but resurrection and restoration. Good stuff guys!!!

I think that this is the most profound thing for me too. Even though I can say this from my head my heart is still very much trying to absorb this. This would mean that justice itself is simply an expression of Father’s all-consuming love. Justice would be His refusal to let us carry on with our self-destructive behavior any longer. Justice would be something we long for instead of something we fear.
Thanks for your thoughts Ulf! I always enjoy hearing your thoughts 🙂
